CEBEM: Unlocking the Power of Collaboration

29-Jun-2023

Mobility Fellowships, 2nd Regular Call and Fast-Track Option

From CEBEM (Centro de Biologia Estructural Del Mercosur) comes the second call for Mobility Fellowships and a Fast-Track Option. This initiative aims to unlock the power of collaboration by facilitating access to research infrastructure and promoting scientific cooperation. With a special focus on Latin America, CEBEM seeks to foster knowledge exchange and experiences, thereby strengthening the fields of Structural Biology, Bioimaging, and Integrative Approaches.

The Regular Call is open to graduate students, researchers, and research facilities’ staff (priority will be given to applicants working in Latin America). Applications proposing visits between CEBEM nodes, as well as to or from CEBEM nodes connecting to other laboratories in Latin America and abroad, will be accepted.

CEBEM encourages proposals to perform data collection using research infrastructure that is not available at the applicants’ site, as well as requests for computing time/facilities, and other specific experiments within the areas of Structural Biology, Bioimaging, and Integrative Approaches. Please explore the facilities and research infrastructure offered at the different CEBEM nodes.

Visits must take place during the second semester of 2023 or the first semester of 2024. Short visit (2-4 weeks) proposals will be favoured, but shorter/longer stays will be considered too. Funding (up to USD 3000) will support travel/lodging expenses, as well as facility bench fees. Additionally, a 30% extra budget (up to 1000 USD) may be asked to support women with children under two years of age in order to cover caring costs.

Applications (in English) will be received until August 18th, 2023 by filling out this form.

Also, a Fast Track option is open during the remainder of 2023, for graduate students, researchers, and research facility personnel (with priority given to those based in Latin America) who require swift completion of particular experiments in the fields of Structural Biology, Bioimaging, and Integrative Approaches. This option caters to urgent needs such as finalising ongoing experiments or addressing specific challenges. Funding is up to USD 1000 to support travel/lodging expenses, as well as facility bench fees.

Applications for the fast track call are open and will be received by filling out this form.
