2023 R&D Funding Awards

13-Jul-2023

Instruct-ERIC has announced its latest R&D Call Awardees – providing pilot funding for preliminary research.

The call is for small scale research projects in integrated structural biology, helping researchers develop external funding for projects. The overall aim of the R&D Award is that a pilot study will lead to a grant submission to national or international funding bodies.

The awarded researchers are shown below:

  • Alexandre Ourjoumtsev, IGBMC, France
  • Steffen Klein and Julia Mahamid, EMBL Heidelberg, Germany
  • Francesca Paoletti, CNR, Italy
  • Heikki Saari, Finnish Red Cross Blood Service, Finland

The selected researchers will each receive €15,000 for their pilot project, and will utilise several key technologies in the Instruct-ERIC service catalogue. R&D Projects will take place over the next 12 months, and will pave the way for innovative advances in integrated structural biology.

R&D funding is one of the many benefits exclusively available to researchers from member countries and organisations. Access is available to researchers worldwide, but funded access, internships, and funding for training courses is only for members. Find out more about Instruct membership here.

The next R&D Funding Call will be announced in 2024. Find out more about the call details here.
