The NOVA School of Science and Technology, Portugal, has a vacancy for a full time principal researcher. FC-ULisboa is part of the Instruct-PT research site.

Facilities of the Faculty of Science and Technology of Universidade NOVA, located on the Campus of Caparica, Almada
The selected candidate will work as a Principal Researcher at FCT NOVA and will perform the following tasks:
a) Develop research in the area of Structural Biology, namely in high-resolution cryoEM structure solution in the context of drug discovery;
b) Set-up the entire cryoEM pipeline from sample preparation and cryo grid preparation to highly specialized storage and computation servers;
c) Participate in the conception of research and development programs and their translation into projects and applications for external funding;
d) Coordinate and guide the implementation of research and development projects and services in the specific scientific area;
e) Develop training actions in the scope of scientific research and the development of single particle analysis (SPA) cryoEM methodology;
f) Supervise postdocs and graduate students and participate in the institution's PhD or MSc training programs.
g) Have an active role in promoting international collaborations in the specific scientific area;
h) Have an active role in science dissemination and public engagement activities.
