The Francis Crick Institute Advanced Cryo-EM training course (in association with Thermo Fisher Scientific) taking place from the 3rd to the 4th of November.
The course will take place at the Francis Crick Institute in London and is targeted to individuals that are already involved in the management of, or operation of, high-end electron microscopes in the United Kingdom.
Topics to be covered include microscope benchmarking, aberration-free image shift (AFIS) strategy and calibrations, measuring and minimising coma, and magnification calibrations. These concepts will be demonstrated on a Titan Krios equipped with a BioQuantum K2 at the Crick Institute. There will also be a live remote demonstration of the Falcon IV and Selectris energy filter from Eindhoven and discussion of on-the-fly image processing strategies.
