Integrated Services For Infectious Disease Outbreak Research - ISIDORe ICRI 2022

Meeting
Date: 19-Oct-2022

Contact: John Dolan

Instruct Partner

Well before the current COVID-19 pandemic, health experts from around the world identified major gaps in global preparedness for infectious diseases. They highlighted the need to invest more in critical capacities to prevent, detect, and respond to epidemic and pandemic threats.

With lessons learned from the COVID-19 pandemic, how can we be better prepared if a similar threat should occur again in the future?

The ISIDORe initiative is a new approach to epidemic preparedness and response research in Europe, which provides free of charge access to an unprecedented One Health-driven integrated portfolio of cutting-edge research resources, dedicated to the study of epidemic-prone diseases.

The event (a side event to the ICRI 2022 Conference) will provide an insight into the experiences of European research infrastructures and infectious disease networks in responding to the COVID-19 emergency, as well as highlighting ISIDORe’s actions and showcasing opportunities for accessing its resources, to address the challenge of any emerging or re-emerging infectious disease threat.
