This advanced NMR course is designed to introduce participants to key concepts in the direct detection of heteronuclei (13C, 15N, 19F, 31P) with an overview on the wide range of application of this technique to the characterization of biomolecules, highlighting both the advantages and challenges of heteronuclear direct detection techniques.
Participants will benefit from a combination of theoretical lectures delivered by some of the leading experts in the field, and hands-on practical sessions at the NMR spectrometer, where they will take an active role in applying what they have learned. Moreover, participants are encouraged to bring their own samples having the possibility to exploit the cutting-edge NMR technologies available at the CERM/CIRMMP center of Instruct-ERIC in Florence.
The program is intended for post-docs or Ph.D. students with a background in solution-state biomolecular NMR who are eager to deepen their expertise and broaden their skill set. Moreover, all the selected attendees will have the opportunity to showcase their recent research results by providing a short talk.
By the end of the course, participants will be equipped with a range of techniques adaptable to various sample types and experimental conditions, significantly strengthening their knowledge and proficiency in heteronuclear detection and biomolecular solution NMR in general.
Course dates: Monday 01/09/25 – Thursday 04/09/25
