Instruct-ERIC has signed a Service Level Agreement (SLA) with EGI, providing a more secure and reliable hosting platform for ARIA and access services.
ARIA (Access to Research Infrastructure Administration) is a collection of cloud services provided by Instruct to research infrastructures, facilities and user communities within a range of scientific fields. Together with CRIMS (Crystallographic Information Management System), the two resources require cloud computing and storage access to ensure they run smoothly for end users.
This access platform allows Instruct to smoothly provide funded access to structural biology technology and instrumentation for researchers worldwide, from initial proposal through review and moderation, to preparing the access visit.
The SLA will ensure the reliable hosting and operation of the ARIA and CRIMS production services on the EGI Infrastructure, providing a robust, secure, and scalable environment tailored to support researchers in structural biology and beyond.
In particular, the agreement will grant ARIA 23 vCPU cores, 94 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage and CRIMS 4 vCPU cores, 24 GB of RAM, and 50TB of Block Storage, provided by IN2P3-IRES, a member of the EGI Federation.
