Two project proposals submitted to the first Horizon Europe work programme have been funded in full. Instruct-ERIC will be a partner for both projects, providing structural biology services for researchers.
Coordinated by ERINHA, ISIDORe brings together the largest and most diverse consortium of research and service providing institutions in Europe – supporting research from structural biology through to clinical trials.
With a special emphasis on addressing the emergent SARS-CoV-2 variants, ISIDORe will accelerate the generation of knowledge and tools to tackle epidemic prone pathogens, while avoiding fragmentation and duplication among EU initiatives.
ISIDORe is funded for 36 months with a budget of €20,998,624.
Coordinated by ELIXIR, BY-COVID will provide open data on SARS-CoV-2 and other infectious diseases. It will emphasise the availability and use of raw viral sequences and link to metadata on SARS-CoV-2 to enable federated data analysis, through direct links with and contributing to the European Open Science Cloud capabilities, that will help to accelerate counter measures to an epidemic.
BY-COVID is funded for 36 months with a budget of €8,821,271.
