ARIA is the leading research infrastructure management system, developed by Instruct-ERIC. It is used for secure access provision, catalogue development, content management and much more, across a huge range of RIs in different fields. In order to ensure the smoothest, most effective service is provided for ARIA users, regular updates are made to the system. Take a look at the most recent release below.
Access Route Improvements
For access administrators, several new improvements have been implemented, allowing for more close control and customisation of access routes and services.
Specific steps can now be added and removed, to ensure that the application process is smoother, with only the crucial information provided. This will enhance efficiency during the proposal writing, and review process, ensuring researchers can get access to the equipment and machinery that they need more quickly.
Additionally, moderators and administrators will be given more regular feedback regarding proposal status, reducing admin time.
Access routes as part of European projects, such as canSERV or ISIDORe, have been fixed, so that services selected in an external project proposal cannot then be edited in ARIA, reducing any confusion down the line.
Moderator Tools
Access moderators are required to select reviewers for proposals. For impartiality, it is crucial that these reviewers have no potential biases for or against the proposal.
In ARIA, all relevant information about reviewers is now displayed immediately, ensuring moderators and access administrators can quickly and efficiently sort and select multiple reviewers for each proposal.
This will speed up the moderation process, and ensure more time for researchers to access the facilities they need.
ARIA Speed
Improvements have been made to page load times both in ARIA and on the Instruct website, ensuring a more fluid and efficient experience for moderators, reviewers, and users.
