Introduction to West-Life
West-life Virtual Research Environment provides services and features for structural biologists. West-life serves three kinds of users:
Life scientists:
West-life provides you with various structural biology e-science portals, accessible in the "Services" menu.
In addition to that, you can manage all your data (EUDAT, Dropbox etc) in 1 place with the virtual folder, and send data directly to West-life portals (which are connected to the virtual folder).
Advanced Users
West-life Virtual Research Environment (VRE) can be deployed locally, or in the cloud, thanks to Westlife VMs.
Portal Developers
Programmers who develop structural biology web services can join the West-life ecosystem in order to create services that interoperate.
