VO registration troubleshooting
Possible browser issues registering with eNMR VO:
using Mozilla Firefox:
you could get the message “Error code:ssl_error_internal_error_alert“: if the case please disable TLS 1.0 from Tools/Options…/Advanced/Encryption tab
using Safari:
you could get the message: “Safari can’t open the page https://voms2.cnaf.infn.it:8443/voms/enmr.eu because Safari can’t establish a secure connection to the server voms.cnaf.infn.it“.
Basically the steps to solve this problem are:
- Import the certificate in your keychain (basically double click on the certificate file). It will appear, most probabily, in the ‘system’ keychain with its private key.
- Select the certificate you just imported, and then do (command)I, or File->Get Info
- In the pop-up window expand the collapsed “Trust” menu and change the certificate policies.
- I would suggest ‘always trust’ for all policies, but you could also
enable it only for ‘X.509 basic policy’ that is how it’s used for the
https connection
Now, when you’re connecting to an https site Safari will ask you which certificate you want to be used, and keychain will ask you if Safari is allowed to access to that certificate-key.
if the above suggestions do not help:

If your certificate is properly uploaded in your browser, you should see an output like this:
