A position is available for an enthusiastic early-career scientist to join the Instruct-ERIC team in an exciting international role.
The role provides an opportunity to gain experience in project management and administrative processes relevant to the operation of a distributed research infrastructure in the life sciences domain. Instruct-ERIC has members across 14 European countries and has a developing international outreach programme.
Instruct-ERIC provides services in structural biology to the European community, supporting primarily academic researchers but working to expand this community to include better integration with industry and other new user groups. The Instruct Hub coordinates and manages the central operation of Instruct activities, overseeing all administrative procedures to deliver the objectives of Instruct to its users, and supporting the governance of Instruct.
Reporting to the Instruct Hub Coordinator, your main focus will be to provide project management support for Instruct-ERIC research visits at each of the Instruct Centres as well as our comprehensive training programme for researchers.
Drawing on your excellent organisational skills you will plan, budget and report on events such as project meetings, workshops and conferences.
Your contribution to the management of the project will include tracking resource, budget and timeframe for delivery of activities against the Instruct implementation plan.
You will support the project communications strategy by writing articles and providing content.
A key element of the role will be to act as liaison with the Instruct-ERIC member EMBL, working closely with their project management team.
