Seeking a creative and team-oriented Postdoctoral Researcher to uncover the cellular and physiological basis of Arp2/3 diversity.

Prof Carolyn Moores research group are seeking a motivated and creative Postdoctoral Researcher to carry out research in cell and tissue biology to elucidate the basis of Arp2/3-driven actin network diversity at the University of Birkbeck. This will involve the dissection of the influence of Arp2/3 subunit isoform diversity on the actin cytoskeleton using cryo-electron tomography, FIB-SEM together with correlated imaging approaches.

This is funded by a European Research Council Synergy Grant in collaboration with Michael Way (The Francis Crick Institute, London) and Edgar Gomes (IMM, Lisbon). This project represents an exciting opportunity to investigate the molecular, cellular and physiological diversity of the Arp2/3 complex and will involve close interactions, use of facilities and visits between all three groups to achieve our ambitious goal.

Applicants should have a PhD in bioimaging, cell biology, or a related area, and have relevant research publications.
