Following a six-year Programme Foundation Award from Cancer Research UK and an EMBO Young Investigator Award, a postdoctoral position is available immediately in the laboratory of Dr. Alessandro Vannini at the ICRI, London, UK. They are looking for highly motivated and creative Postdoctoral Training Fellow with a strong interest in cancer biology.
This is an ideal opportunity for a committed and enthusiastic scientist to join a dynamic research team with excellent collaborators and facilities. The Postdoctoral Training Fellow will work independently and will have the opportunity to supervise students and a higher scientific officer in order to uncover the role of RNA Polymerase III in Cancer and exploit its therapeutic potential (see for example “Gouge et al., Cell 2015”).
Candidates should possess a PhD in cell biology or related disciplines and have experience with one or more of the following techniques:

Appointment will be on Fixed Term Contract for 3 years in the first instance. The full salary scale for the post is in the range of £29,960 to £42,820 p.a. inclusive. Starting salary will be based on previous postdoctoral experience and relevance of skills.
The Vannini’s lab is part of the Division of Structural Biology and is located in Chelsea, a vibrant area in central London full of entertaining amenities.
