Postdoctoral Position in Structural Biology available at the Dana-Farber Cancer institute, Boston

We invite applicants for a postdoctoral position in structural biology available in the lab of Eric Fischer. Work in the lab focuses on structural and functional studies of the Ubiquitin Proteasome System. We use a combination of structural biology (X-ray crystallography and single particle cryo-EM), biochemistry and cell biology to elucidate fundamental mechanisms that underlie the function of macromolecular complexes involved in the Ubiquitin Proteasome System (Fischer et al., 2011 CELL; Lingaraju et al., 2014 NATURE). A second focus of the lab is the use and characterization of small molecule probes to modulate activity of ubiquitin E3 ligases (Fischer et al., 2014 NATURE). The ideal candidate will have published expertise in protein biochemistry, structural biology or related fields. Motivated individuals with a different background are also strongly encouraged to apply.

Located in Boston, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute brings together world renowned clinicians, innovative researchers and dedicated professionals, allies in the common mission of conquering cancer, HIV/AIDS and related diseases. Please submit your application, including a CV, a summary of your research experience and interests and the names and contact details of three referees to Eric Fischer.
