Postdoctoral and Staff Scientist positions are available in the laboratory of Peng Yuan at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City. The lab is interested in understanding molecular mechanisms of membrane transport proteins that play important roles in health and disease.

The Lab use a combination of approaches including biochemistry, electrophysiology, X-ray crystallography, and cryo-electron microscopy. The lab is well equipped with state-of-the-art setup for membrane protein biochemistry and structural biology and has excellent access to synchrotron X-ray facilities and cryo-electron microscopes.
Multiple positions are available as the lab has recently relocated from Washington University School of Medicine to Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Successful candidates are expected to be highly motivated and well trained in electrophysiology, protein biochemistry, or structural biology. Experience in membrane protein biochemistry or cryo-EM is preferred, but not required.
