An open PhD position (4-years, 1.0 FTE) has become available at Dr K. Rafie lab at Groningen University, the Netherlands.
The student will work to elucidate the underlying molecular mechanisms of how viruses hijack mitochondrial function to benefit replication, using a combination of state-of-the-art macromolecular x-ray crystallography and/or cryo-EM in combination with cell biology experiments to probe viral infections.
The position is fully-funded and comes with all benefits of being employed in the Netherlands.
