The Institute of Biotechnology of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic at the Biotechnology and Biomedicine Center of the Academy of Sciences and Charles University in Vestec announces an open position:
Head of Protein Production Core Facility
BIOCEV is looking for an expert in recombinant protein production to lead the protein production facility of the Centre of Molecular Structure, part of the Czech infrastructure CIISB and of the European infrastructure Instruct‐ERIC.
BIOCEV offers attractive work lying in design and management of projects utilising services of cloning, recombinant protein expression and purification for user projects, development of methods and offering expertise to the scientific community. The position is open at the Centre of Molecular Structure, the Institute of Biotechnology in the Center of excellence BIOCEV.
The main responsibility lies in project design and communication with facility users, applying expertise in the field of recombinant protein production, overseeing of project workflow, reporting and providing output to the users. The head of the facility is expected to actively participate in the facility operations and to drive the facility development in the context of the national and European research infrastructures.
The Centre of Molecular Structure as a part of the Czech Infrastructure for Integrative Structural Biology, and of the European infrastructure Instruct‐ERIC, which is focused on provision of open access to structural biology techniques across Europe with a strong accent on individual approach to the user projects.
