The Institut de Biologie Structurale (IBS) in Grenoble, France, is currently seeking a Director to lead its upcoming national multi-annual plan (HCERES wave A, 2027-2031). We are looking for an individual with a distinguished international reputation in the field of structural biology who possesses outstanding leadership and management skills. The ideal candidate will be able to leverage the Institute's state-of-the-art facilities to develop their own research activity.
The incoming Director will be tasked with crafting and executing a comprehensive forward-thinking strategy aimed at strengthening the IBS's global standing and fostering its future growth. We seek an individual with a strong background in research and personnel management, adept at decision-making, and possessing a nuanced understanding of the French academic research landscape, its organisation, and operational dynamics. Proficiency in both French and English is essential.
First selection phase:

Second selection phase:
