Max Planck Institute of Biochemisty -Cryo-EM Facility are inviting applications for a position as Cryo-EM Facility Manager (m/f)
The MPIB houses a high-end cryoEM facility equipped with several transmission electron microscopes, including a Titan Krios, a Talos Arctica, and a Titan Halo.
Expressions of interest are sought for the role of a facility manager for structural cryo-electron microscopy (cryoEM) with a focus on single particle analysis. The primary responsibilities will be to ensure the continued smooth operation of the facility and support the day-to-day work of the users of the facility.
The post holder will be responsible for all aspects of facility management, including maintenance of the microscopes and ancillary equipment, user training, scheduling, troubleshooting of facility equipment, managing facility staff, and contributing scientifically to related research. This may also include advising users on experimental procedures, and engaging in ongoing projects at the institute.
