Mission-oriented innovation requires a holistic perspective that integrates technological, social, and environmental dimensions. Research Infrastructures (RIs), with their advanced capabilities and stakeholder networks, are ideally positioned to drive such transformations.

This hybrid workshop, hosted by the RESER International Conference in Helsinki, and organised in the context of the Horizon Europe ResInfraPlus project, will explore how RIs can strengthen their role by leveraging service innovation thinking to address global challenges through collaborative, systemic approaches.

Key themes for discussion will include:

• How RIs can integrate service innovation with technological advancements to deliver impactful solutions for societal missions.
• The significance of RIs as platforms for co-creation, bringing together diverse stakeholders, including policymakers, industries, and citizens.
• Pathways to enable RIs to contribute to long-term value creation and societal impact, ensuring alignment with mission-oriented goals.
