The Astbury Biostructure Laboratory, part of Instruct-UK, are pleased to invite registrations for the beginners Cryo-Electron Tomography virtual course.
Taking place from the 3th - 6th of November 2025, the workshop is part of the UK community-led training program in cryo-EM funded by Wellcome and the MRC.
Hosted by the University of Leeds (ABSL), eBIC at Diamond Light Source, the University of Leicester, and Birkbeck, University of London, this four-day course is aimed at early career researchers with little or no prior experience in cryo-electron tomography that plan to incorporate cryo-ET into their research. It will introduce participants to the cryo-ET workflow, covering sample preparation, sample thinning via FIB-SEM, tilt-series acquisition, and image analysis.
Participants will receive hands-on training in small groups on a Titan Krios, guided by expert instructors, and will observe live demonstrations of cryo-FIB/SEM techniques for lamella milling and lift-outs, as well as cryo-ET data processing in RELION 5.

The deadline to register is 8 October.
