Weizmann Institute will hold the 6th international conference on Molecular Perspectives on Protein-Protein Interactions (PPI2017), which will take place in sunny Eilat, Israel, 3-7th December 2017.
The executive committee for this meeting are: Rebecca Wade (Heidelberg), Julia Shifman (Jerusalem), Brian Baker (U Notre Dame), Meytal Landau, (Technion), and Gideon Schreiber (Weizmann Institute)
The PPI2017 meeting is entirely devoted to the subject of protein recognition, including 10 sessions. With some 150 attendees participating at the previous meetings, they were always a great success.
They intend to have ~30 invited talks of 30 min + shorter talks selected from abstracts. This provides opportunity for younger faculty to present their work.
They will have 10 sessions which are listed below including their chairs:
Session 1 – Theory & Computation, Chair: Rebecca Wade, Heidelberg
Session 2 – Membrane protein complexes, Chair: Jacob Piehler
Session 3 – System Biology of protein interactions: Madan Babu
Session 4 –Design and Engineering, Chair: Julia Shifman
Session 5 – Protein interaction in signal transduction, Chair: Gideon Schreiber
Session 6 – Structural Approaches, Chair: Meytal Landau, Technion, Israel
Session 7 – Intrinsically unstructured protein complexes, Chair: Assaf Friedler
Session 8 – Evolution of protein interactions,Andreas Pluckthun
Session 9 – Protein-protein interactions in disease and drug development: Chair: Brian Baker
Section 10 A biophysical view on intracellular interactions: Mikael Oliveberg
