The symposium "25 years of electronic cryomicroscopy in Spain will be held on June 12 and 13. A tribute to José L. Carrascosa "on the campus of the Autonomous University of Madrid". This symposium, framed in the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Autonomous University, will be attended by speakers of international renown such as professors Joachim Frank and Richard Henderson, awarded with the Nobel Prize in Chemistry 2017 for the development of electronic cryomicroscopy.
Over two days, the current state of the field will be reviewed through the presentations of more than 30 scientists who use electronic cryomicroscopy techniques in their research in different fields.
In addition, these days will serve as well-deserved tribute to the research professor of CSIC José L. Carrascosa, architect of the development of cryomicroscopy in Spain and the CNB.
